HISTORIC DOWNTOWN PLAQUE PROJECT

Historic Downtown Association proudly unveils its PRESERVE THE SHADOW PLAQUE PROJECT commemorating the architectural and commercial history of St. Charles as reflected in the buildings of Main Street between Madison and Clark Streets.

Custom designed bronze frames display plaques featuring period photographs, construction dates and narratives about the buildings on which they are mounted. The Preserve the Shadow Plaque Project, when completed, will identify 40 buildings from 100 South Main thru 400 North Main.
